A mixed bag of a reading month with 10 books, a few standout favourites, and a couple of disappointments. From mythology retellings to dark fantasy and ARCs, here’s everything I read in February—plus my stats, current reads, and what’s next on my TBR.

A strong, classic fantasy start to The Bound and The Broken series, Of Blood and Fire delivers immersive worldbuilding, stunning illustrations, and serious The Lord of the Rings vibes—just don’t expect it to reinvent the genre.
-

A dark and atmospheric story with an intriguing premise, but the slow pacing, confusing flashbacks, and unrelatable characters made it difficult for me to fully connect with the story.

-

A quirky October read with a clever concept and fun nods to classic Gothic characters, but the writing style didn’t work for me. A unique idea that ultimately fell flat — though I may try again next spooky season.

Broody, unpredictable, and far from perfect — morally grey characters steal our hearts every time. Here’s why we love them (and why you probably do too).
