It feels like forever since I’ve given a book five stars, but Jennifer Saint’s This Immortal Heart was more than deserving. A beautifully written Greek mythology retelling exploring Aphrodite and Ares’ legendary love affair, this was the immersive, emotional read I needed to pull me out of my reading slump.

A thoughtful and reflective story about love, regret, and second chances, The Midnight Train shifts the focus from “what if” to “if only,” exploring what it really means to revisit the life you’ve already lived.

A clever blend of fact and fiction, Elizabeth & Marilyn explores the private similarities between two iconic women. Thoughtful, engaging, and surprisingly emotional, this was the perfect palate cleanser read.

A tense thriller set entirely on the Eurostar from Paris to London, Eye Spy had all the ingredients for a gripping read. While I enjoyed the claustrophobic setting and the twist, the pacing dragged in places and the ending left me more annoyed than satisfied. A 3-star read.

Witches, daemons, and fated mates sounded like the perfect spooky season read, but despite the strong premise, poor editing and heavy-handed erotic content made it impossible for me to finish. A story with potential, but ultimately not the right fit for me.
